Tessa and Lou Enjoying Tummy Time

Ready to Travel

We took Tessa to the post office today to get her passport! She was such a good baby. She had fallen asleep on the way there, its only 2 miles from our house. So when it came time to take her picture we had to wake her up. After some blowing in the face, her little eyes opened wide for the camera. She was quite a pleasant baby while we waited a somewhat long time to get the paperwork filled out (its much more difficult to get a minor's passport than a regular one). And on the way home she was all smiles. She seems to have turned a corner with her carseat, she only hates it some of the time now. Presently she is napping in it again, who knows for how long...

Napping...

Two days in a row Tessa has taken a great nap in the middle of the day in her swing. Before yesterday she had not napped for more than 20 minutes in about 8 weeks. And those short catnaps always took place while she was being held. So this is BIG news!! I'm hoping that napping in her swing will continue. Someday maybe she'll nap in her crib...but I don't need that now.

10 Week Picture

It's not a great picture but it does portray exactly how she looks when she's all smiles.

Cute Shortalls

We are enjoying some nice warm weather so Tessa was dressed in "shortalls" today.

Tessa slept for 6.5 hours last night! Unfortunately my body got some sleep and decided it need a whole lot more, so I'm still one tired girl.

First Trip to Massachusetts

Tessa did REALLY well the whole trip up (about 6 plus hours) and was great while we were at home.

Friday morning we took her to Liberty Mutual where she showed off how social she can be. She met lots of nice people and enjoyed the new scenery. After we got home the visitors started arriving. So many people came to see Tessa. Lots of family and a few friends! She was a awake most of the day, which usually results in a cranky baby, but she was great!

Saturday morning we had breakfast with Mimi and Pop and Tessa slept through the whole thing, in her car seat (a minor miracle since she generally hates it!). Then we headed back to Nana's house for the second round of visitors. Tessa spent most of Saturday being held and sleeping.

Sunday morning we got up and drove to CT to see Tessa's great-grandmother. Tessa did pretty well in CT, she was a little cranky but not too bad. Then late Sunday we drove home.

Major Accomplishment: Smiling, Tessa started smiling lots on Saturday and hasn't stopped. Sometimes she gets confused and thinks she needs to stick her tongue out at the same time. But nonetheless its very cute! We will try to capture the smiles on video soon.

We haven't uploaded all the pictures yet, but you can see some of them:
