Rough times at Nursery School Equal
Tessa's behavior at school has become an increasing problem...I'm not sure if it has been going on all year, and I'm just finding out now. But regardless, she needs to start behaving or else the future 18 years or so of her life are going to be rough. How is it that my 2 year old already knows she doesn't want me talking to her teacher, and that progress reports are bad things. Ugh. I didn't know we'd be dealing with this already, but hopefully if we get some of her behavior under control now it will pay off later??? (Or at least that is what I keep telling myself) And for those that wonder, no she is not biting, or kicking, nope, my high spirited/energy child just cant reign it in when she is told to. Not altogether terrible at 2, but still embarrassing none the less when she is getting time-out as a result. Fun times at the O'Neil house. In need of some smaller hats
Thankfully we are experiencing a little bit of warm weather! So I pulled out Tessa's hats from when she was a baby, admittedly many months older than Caroline. Well the results are below, although cute, not practical. I'll be hat shopping this weekend...

Caroline's Baptism and First Flight to PVD
Caroline and Tessa were both great on our quick trip up to PVD. Tim was with us for the flights up and back, thankfully. I'm not sure how people fly solo with more than 1 kid. There is so much gear to handle and things to take care of that it would have been very difficult by myself. I will NOT be making the flight by myself anytime soon!
Saturday after we got to Nana's house and had lunch, Tessa was supposed to take a nap...didnt happen. She has been in a toddler bed at home since August, but this was the first trip where she wasnt going to be in the pack 'n play. Not because Caroline was using, just simply because she is too big. Well the bed setup at Nana's was a no-go for nap time. So Tim ended up taking her out in the car, and thankfully she fell asleep within minutes. And later went to bed for the night without issue.
Mimi, Amy, LuLu (which Tessa has now started calling Jennifer), Dan, and Kevin all came to Nana's house to see the girls. And later Tim got to go out to dinner with Dan and Kev, something that hasnt happened for a long time! I chose not to join them as Caroline has been getting up a ridiculous number of times each night and I needed to get some sleep.
Sunday we woke up early, had breakfast, and started the process of getting the girls ready and repacking our suitcases. We left for Warwick with plenty of time to get to the church. I was hoping that Tessa would snooze on the way there...no luck, she yapped the whole way. The actual baptism went quickly and without issue. Afterwards we headed to Harbourside Lobstermania, a restaurant that Rachel's friends' family owns. Its closed for the season but we were able to use the space and get the food catered. We were very fortunate that Rachel planned EVERYTHING for us! I cant say thank you enough to her. It was very cool to have the kiddos baptized together. And it was a nice opportunity for us to get to see family that we see less and less these days.
Tessa did great especially considering she didnt get a nap (a first for her, and hopefully not something that becomes the norm for quite some time). After a quick stop at Ellen's to get the kids changed and for Caroline to snooze a little we were off to the airport again. The kids were great on the flight home, seriously couldnt have asked for better behavior.

I took Caroline today, while Tessa was at school, to have her 3 month pictures taken. She was so happy! And really liked the photographer. I think we'll bring both girls back and take some Easter pictures once their outfits are finished (I should probably start them...) Click on the cutie to see the rest of the pictures.

Hmm, this is hard
We were waiting for Caroline to wake up one day last week, so I pulled out some balloons. I showed Tessa how they fly around if you blow them up but dont put a knot in them. She was a little scared, but I kept telling her how silly it was and she quickly came around. Here are some pictures of her trying to blow up the balloons. She kept trying and saying, "Hmm this is hard. Mommy you try."
5 Minutes of Quiet = This
Tessa was alone in the playroom, which is normally not a problem...Tim and I were trying to complete an adult conversation. I remarked that it was awfully quiet down there, but decided that I just didnt care. Thankfully this was all she was up to, it could have been much worse.
