Am I done yet???

Well I feel like I should be...but I'm not. I know I shouldn't complain because I've had a VERY easy pregnancy, but yet I still find myself grumbling a lot (just ask Tim).
I have another Dr appt tomorrow (37 weeks, finally full-term), I don't think I've gained any weight in the last 3 weeks, so hopefully the scale agrees...

Golfing, Who Knew???

So apparently the more pregnant I get the better my golf game becomes....

We did go play some twilight golf last night, only got in 7 holes as lots of people had the same idea and things were moving SLOW.

However before we left Tim was dragging his feet, not like him when it comes to golf.
Finally he says to me: "Well its weird to go with you when you're this pregnant."
I say: "Umm, what?"
Tim says: "I don't want people to look at me and think I'm making you golf, and you always carry your own clubs (just to the cart)."
I say: "Oh ok Tim, so you'd rather me be a cranky pregnant lady who won't go anywhere or do anything...Don't worry my golf game will be fine, this stomach isn't going to get in the way."
Tim says: "Yeah, I'm not worried about your golf game, just what people will think."

Never knew Tim to care what random people on the golf course thought of him, well except maybe he wants them to think he can kill the ball.

Anyway, I thought it was funny! And told him we were going to go play anyway.

Needless to say, I played some of my best golf. This hole where I usually get a 10 or 12, yes its a par 5, but no its really not that bad. I actually got a 6, had I not 3-putted maybe I could have gotten par.

We had a good time, and then ate a late dinner outside, it was a gorgeous night.

I'm looking for babysitters so I can continue playing golf after this little girl arrives. (No I'm not joking)

36 Weeks...and no news

I had my 36 week Dr appt today, very uneventful (not like they haven't all been). Although good news for me, I didn't gain any weight in the last two weeks. That can probably be attributed to Tim being out of town, and me subsiding on PB&J sandwiches. The nurse did joke with me that I would still be pregnant 6 weeks from now...that's not funny, I would be HUGE by then, and probably have a 10 pounder, not a good idea.

I am very lucky and still feel really good. Tim and I are hoping to get in some twilight golf tonight. And this weekend we plan to cross a few more things off the "To-Do" list.

Here's a picture of Lou, not sure how many pictures of Lou we'll be taking in the upcoming months. Poor guy, he has no idea his world is going to change big time.

Bookcase Done, at least for now

Thanks to many nice shower gifts and the treasures we found in my mom's basement (pop-up books and all!!), this little girl has the beginnings of a book collection.

I'm a little concerned about the stuffed animals/toys...we'll see if Lou can resist the urge to claim them as his own. It is going to take some monitoring but he's going to have to learn that not all fluffy things are his toys.

Ohhh Louie....

So its just a little after noon here and its already 91 degrees (feels like 94). This is what we found Lou doing on the deck...

He's a nut. Who knew that the chair was also a good headrest???

My Newest Project...

I got this cute, unfinished dollhouse/bookcase. So now I just need to decide how I'm going to finish it: stain it like her crib, or paint it white with some colorful accents. If only I was creative the second option would be easy...we'll see what ends up happening.

Tim comes home tonight, I couldn't be more excited! Louie would be excited too, if he understood what that meant. Oh well I'm sure he'll give Tim lots of lovin' as soon as he walks in the door.

As a result of being out of school...

I am not crafty...but it is a good way to pass the time. Off to find a frame.

More Baby Gear

Well we've put together almost everything now. Here's the carseat in the swing frame. Lou is not so sure why it keeps smacking him in the nose when its turned on, but hopefully he'll get the hang of that soon. And more exciting news (at least for me), the jogger stroller arrived yesterday. Now it will be quite some time before she can safely ride in it, but I'm happy to have it nonetheless.
And now its time to reclaim the living room, as recently we've been losing more and more space to this little girl who is not even here yet.

6 more weeks!

Update on Certification

Well it has finally happened. The powers that be finally clicked "Approved". I've only been waiting for them to do this for almost a year (submitted paperwork July 23, 2007). Oh well at least its done now. And this means I will no longer have to get harassing phone calls from the county asking what I'm going to do when my resident certificate expires. And I will no longer have to place calls to the city asking them to process my request, only to be told, "We'll put you on the list."

Unique Shower Present

This arrived in the mail today, and I just couldn't resist taking a picture of it, and posting it here.

Hopefully some day in Sept/Oct/Nov this wine glass will get some use! :)

The Furniture has arrived...

After a much longer wait than expected the baby's furniture has arrived. Well except for the dresser, that might come by August...
Here's a shot of the crib
The glider/ottoman
And the little girl's closet (yes there's a lot of stuff in there, hopefully once the dresser arrives it gets a little less crowded)All the other gifts from the shower have been put together. And Lou is getting used to the interesting noises they make. He is quite perplexed by the kick pad on the gym mat...it lights up and makes lots of sounds, which results in Lou moving his head from right-to-left a lot! Very entertaining!

We are off to CT this weekend so spend some time with Tim's family and hopefully the pool at Gran's. I'm also going to try and fit one more round of golf in before I get too big.

And here's a picture of the boys napping on the couch...
