24 Week Appt and Bumps

Doctors appointment went well. No real news. Next time I go I'll have to take the sugar test to make sure I don't have diabetes. And we signed up for child birth classes in June.

On other news...Lou came back from the kennel sleepy and with a few bumps. Well that was Monday...today Louie had about 50 bumps. Check out the picture below. We did take him to the vet and it seems he just has hives, no horrible disease or anything. But man does he have lots of bumps.

Oh yeah and thats the new area rug we got. Lou loves it!!

Flordia was fun

Sorry no pictures...I have heard the request for pictures of my ever expanding stomach, but haven't had a reason to take one yet. Don't worry its growing :)

The weather in Florida was great, we enjoyed eating at Schooners and playing golf. Got some sun. Everything was nice and relaxing.

We're home now, soaking in the rain and enjoying Lou post kennel. He's always so tired (read "pleasant") to have around the first few days he's home.

Thats it for now, I'm impatiently waiting for the crib and other furniture to arrive, could be up to 11 more weeks :(

In Denial...

I really don't want to think about the fact that I have to go to school tomorrow. It's not even that I don't like school, its just more the getting up, going somewhere, and doing something. It's a short week this week, we're leaving for Florida Wednesday night, so I should be able to make it through 3 days.

But for now I'll stay up late and ignore the fact that the alarm is going to go off way too early tomorrow.

Lou is King!

Well king of the couch. He doesn't get to do this often, so when he does he's in heaven.

About 4 weeks overdue...

Here's one of the ultrasound pictures from 18weeks.I don't think I'll be getting another ultrasound done...after 18 weeks they usually only do them if there are complications. So let's hope this is the last picture of her before she makes her debut.

4th Quarter Started at School Today!!

I'm really happy that 3/4 of the year is over, and I'm telling myself that last quarter is going to fly by. I think it will since there are less days in it, due to snow planning and what not. And the last week or so is half days for finals. So here's hoping it doesn't drag on too much. I am however NOT looking forward to late May, June...its going to be HOT in my classroom. At the beginning of the year we were topping out at 103 degrees in my classroom...the really pregnant lady isn't going to like that much. Oh well, not much I can do about that.

In other news...an area rug we ordered for the living room finally came today. We have hard wood floors, and I really wanted a rug, so we got one. Well Lou is in heaven!! He loves to lay on it, and I'm sure wishes we'd put a rug everywhere. I'll post pictures soon.

Not much else is going on here, Tim is having a "hard day at the office"...right... he's out on the golf course right now!

A day of yard work...

Tim and I spent the morning shopping for perennials and bushes. A bit of money later and we were ready to fix the front yard. We also bought a non-motorized lawn mower, no we're not green, we just don't have much to mow and no where to store a big thing. Using the push mower today wasn't too bad, we both agreed not to let the grass get so long next time though...and to get a bag collector, both things would make the job a whole lot easier. In the front we planted the flowers and the new bush, hopefully both will like the clay-like soil that we've got here in MD.

On to the backyard...or the jungle...the grass grows in the back like crazy, needless to say it took a while to get mowed and raked, but its looking good now. Tomorrow we hope to tackle pulling up some plants back there, and restructuring the garden. It looks nice now, and I just wish Lou would stop using it for his toilet, because I might actually want to spend some time back there if I wasn't always on "poop patrol"...

I find it very interesting that we are some of the youngest owners in our neighborhood, and in terms of our yard work oftentimes the most responsible...

Oh yeah...and now we've got ants in the house, possibly they didn't like the yard work, and possibly its just that time of year. So Tim's back at HD getting some ant killer, we go through this every year for a few days and then they usually go away. Fingers crossed.

Yay for going to the Gym

I've been going to a prenatal aquatics class once a week, but thats been about it for a while. Tonight we went to the gym and I ran/walked 3 miles. Now compared to 4-5 months ago this is nothing but I feel so much better for doing it! Running as always made me happy, hopefully I can continue to do it for a little while longer.

20 wk appt

Everything still looks fine...the appointments are getting boring. I pee in a cup, stand on a scale, get my blood pressure measured, listen to baby's heart beat (the only good part) and leave. Oh well I guess its better than finding out something is wrong.

Only news from the doc is "Don't plan travel for past 30-32 weeks." So that really cuts in to my summer, hopefully I'm feeling good and traveling won't be an issue.
