A Few Firsts

Well we have had an interesting few days.

Tessa has started to giggle. She is so cute. Her whole body shakes and she gets SO excited. Of course the first time she giggled was when she was watching Lou run around like a maniac.

She is also starting to reach for things. She isn't really good at it yet, but she is getting more interested in at least trying to touch things. Its fun to watch her focus so hard on doing something.

Tessa also violated bathroom etiquette and poo'd in her tub...not fun to have to clean up. But she got her first shower out of it, and seemed pleased with it. Thankfully Tim and Amy were here to help clean up the baby and the tub.

Tessa was supposed to get her 3 month pictures taken today, but "fussy pants" showed up. She missed a nap and was not happy. Pictures have been rescheduled for next week, maybe she'll be better then, or maybe they'll turn into 4 month pictures.

13 Week Picture

While She's Napping...In Her Crib!!

Tessa has finally taken to napping! She doesn't take long ones, usually 30-45 minutes, but at least its a start. A neighbor of ours mentioned a "90 minute rule" for how long babies should be awake before they go back to sleep. Now I'm sure it doesn't work for all babies, but for Tessa its great! Awake 90 minutes, short nap, and repeat. I've been doing this for the past week or so and it has significantly cut down on the amount of crying and pacing going on in our house. So needless to say I wish I had spoken to our neighbor earlier...oh well its working now.

Halloween and Dee Dee-Bop Bop

Tessa's first Halloween went ok, she wasn't a big fan of her costume so it didn't last very long. Maybe it wasn't a dislike for the costume but more a general fussiness in the evening. Oh well, here are some pictures:

Saturday Tessa got to meet Dee Dee and Bop Bop her great grandparents from Colorado. She also got to meet cousin Carrie and John.
