Tessa's First Christmas (Part One)

maybe I'll go back and add details but for now this will have to do...

Tessa's First Christmas (Part Two)

On Christmas Day we went to Mimi and Pop's for Christmas dinner. Tessa got lots of nice presents!

Tessa is learning to sit up, however here it looks like she's trying to eat her feet!
Tessa with Uncle Kevin, doesn't she look tiny!
Tessa enjoyed trying to eat Uncle Dan's nose.

The day after Christmas Grandpa came to visit Tessa.
On our drive home we stopped in Connecticut and Tessa got to meet her Great Uncle Chris!

What a Cutie!

A Fun-Snowy Weekend

This past weekend, my girlfriend from Mines came to visit! Lisa and I had a good time catching up and Tessa was a great baby.
Tessa loves to hold things, and can apparently hold her own bottle now...not reliably of course.
Lisa and Tessa playing on the couch

I had hoped to show Lisa some fun/cool stuff in Boston but the foot of snow and 20 degree weather made that sound very unattractive. We were however able to meet Jen and Dave for a great dinner in Boston.

Tessa LOVES Louie! I'm pretty sure when she starts crawling we'll find her IN his bed, as opposed to next to it.

Not much is new...

Tessa is starting to roll over from belly -> back more often. And is reaching for everything in her sight, and can't wait to get whatever it is in her mouth. We went and got her some teething rings, because she's been really drooly and chomping on everything. Guess we won't know if she's teething till one actually pops out. Tessa is sleeping great at night...naps are still hit or miss.

Tim came up to Milford for the weekend, and we are all sad that he had to go back to MD for work. Louie is of course devastated!

Lisa comes this weekend for a visit and I can't wait! It's been too long since we've seen each other.

And here's a few pictures of Tessa since she's been in Milford (I've been really bad about taking pictures, and need to get better!)

A Weekend of Parties and People

On Friday night we went to Kevin's Christmas Party, I was not good about taking pictures :( However, I did get two good ones.
On Saturday we went to the Smith's for some post-birthday party Wii. Connor had a pirate themed party, and Tim got in the spirit!

And here are some more pictures from the Smith's

Ryan feeding Tessa a bottle. On Sunday, Dan, Jen, and Dave came over and watched football.

Leaving for Milford Tomorrow

Well I'm in the midst of packing Tessa, Lou, and myself for 3+ weeks in MA. My car will be quite the sight when I'm done. And I'm pretty sure Tessa has twice as many outfits packed as I do.

While I'm not looking forward to the colder temperatures (and potential for a lot more snow) it will be nice to be near family.

A few Pictures from Last Night

We like to lay a blanket on the rug so that we can play with Tessa on it...Lou thinks its for him... I think its great that he's surrounded by her toys but would never try to play with them.

The Past Week Or So

Tim finished up working for Absolute on Wednesday! And he doesn't start working for IBM until Dec 8th, so we're pretty excited to get to spend some time together before the new job starts.
On Wednesday Mimi and Pop drove down from MA for Thanksgiving. We had a nice relaxing day on Thursday. For the most part Tessa was pretty good. Unfortunately she missed a nap later in the evening and was a bit of a bear around bedtime. Oh well the rest of the day she was a happy baby. We didn't take many pictures (shame on me I know). But here is one with Tessa and Pop.

On Friday, Mimi and Pop were nice enough to offer to babysit Tessa so Tim and I could go out to dinner. Of course Tessa knew something was up and was a little difficult on the way out of the house. But we went anyway and enjoyed ourselves!

Tessa had been waking up 3-5 times a night and things were getting pretty ridiculous so we decided that Saturday would be the day where we let her cry herself to sleep. So starting with the first nap of the day we put a sleepy baby in her crib and let her cry. Thankfully we only had a few times where she cried for 40 minutes or so.

So far things are going well. There's no more bouncing her to sleep for naps and then holding her until she wakes up. And during the night she has been waking up twice and putting herself back to sleep in 10-15 minutes. She has gone 10 hours at night without eating so that's good. Tessa is definitely big enough to make it that long without some food.

So hopefully this will continue and she will get better at sleeping alone. We could all use some good sleep!
