Tessa's 3 Year Check Up

Weight: 32.25 lbs 66%
Height: 27in 50%
She got one shot, and wasn't pleased about it. Other than that there were no issues...except for the fact that Dr. Goldstein looked in Caroline's ears and found 2 ear infections. Apparently thats why she's been fussier than normal.

Storyville

The Baltimore County Library, has incorporated "Storyville" centers into two of their libraries, one on the East side of town and one on the West. Neither is in a "great" neighborhood, but I'm pretty sure thats the idea. Storyville is meant for children aged birth to 5. It is almost like a small children's museum inside the library, and its free! Tessa's first trip was around 7 months, she enjoyed it then, but truly loves going there now. Here are two videos from today, one where we are delivering the mail and the other where she is shopping.

They have a baby area, which is for babies not yet walking...hopefully I'll be able to take Caroline there sometime soon when Tessa is back in school. For now, she has to fend for herself in the big kid area. And now that I think about it, she might be walking by the time Tessa starts school...

Dutch Wonderland

Last week Tim took 2 days off from work and we went up to Lancaster, PA. We stayed at a hotel that was perfect for kids...an indoor waterpark and suites so we didnt have to get two separate rooms. Tessa and Caroline both LOVED the pool at the hotel. We dont have any pictures as Tim and I were both in the water, and clearly not holding a cellphone or camera.

After we checked into our room, and forced the girls to nap, we headed over to Dutch Wonderland. Their regular admission ticket gets you into the park the day before for 3 hours before closing. So we got there at 5:30 and stayed until 7:15/7:30. Tessa had a blast! She was so brave, and was never once afraid. If anything, I think the smaller "baby" rides were too baby for her. Thankfully she was just over the minimum height for most of the bigger rides so she could go on most of the rides, some by herself and some with us. We were fortunate that the weather wasnt that great (off/on sprinkles in the high 70s), so the park was virtually empty. She never waited for a ride. We told her many times that night and the next morning that the next day would be different, there would be more people and she would have to wait. The next morning we headed over right around 10, when they opened, and we were pleasantly surprised, yes there were more people, but it still wasnt bad. Tessa went on the rest of the rides that she wanted to, some multiple times. And occasionally she had to wait in line, but never more than one cycle through the ride. It was perfect!
I was able to get Caroline to nap in a quieter section of the park for about 45 minutes, which was key to us being able to stay for a while. We left the park around 4:00, and Tessa was EXHAUSTED. She didnt even make it out of the parking lot without falling asleep. We all had a great time, and are definitely considering a day trip up there later this summer or in the early fall.
Here are some pictures and videos I took with my cell phone, we did have our point and shoot camera with us but I havent uploaded those pictures yet, hopefully soon.
